i wonder sometimes that how our behavior shows our true self? is there any link? well it has two dimensions. if a person behaves in a certain way then there are two possibilities either its his true self or he is imitating. and to differentiate between both is not very difficult. the imitated behavior will not be obvious and the other person will always be in restlessness because its not coming from inside. its imposed and is just a covering.
you tell a person how Buddha used to look, talk, walk and sleep. one can practice his movement and can imitate in a perfect manner but does walking, talking, looking and dressing like Buddha make him one. its not going to make any difference unless it comes from inside. once he is a true Buddha then he needs not to care about anything. now he will be a live Buddha and needs no imitations. so its better to work on our inner self rather than copying the behavior of others.
once we know our true self, our behavior will automatically be according to that. in that case no outer imitation is required.
i have heard an ancient fable…..
A mouse was in constant distress because of its fear of the cat. a magician took pity on it and turned it into a cat. But then it became afraid of the dog. so the magician tuned it into a dog. then it began to fear the panther. so the magician turned it into a panther. whereupon it was full of fear for the hunter. at this point the magician gave up, and turned it into a mouse again saying “Nothing i do for you is going to help to be of any help because you have the heart of a mouse.
so unless we are a different person from inside nothing is going to help. no magic will be of any help. there is only one magic which can help, that is becoming more aware of ourselves and recognizing our inner self. it will make you more aware of our actions and will be able to see the as they are. in that case there will be no need of any projections like we most of do in our normal lives.
lemme me know what you think about this!!!
